K-RERA Sets Quarterly Progress Report (QPR) Deadlines for FY 2026-27

What This Circular Covers

K-RERA issued a circular dated 19th June 2026 reminding promoters of their mandatory obligation to submit Quarterly Progress Reports (QPRs) for the Financial Year 2026-27, in compliance with Section 11(1)(b) to (e) of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 and Rule 15(D) of the Karnataka Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Rules, 2017.

As per the circular, it is the duty of every promoter to undertake quarterly updates of their real estate projects on the K-RERA web portal for every three-month period.

The circular clarifies that promoters must continue filing quarterly updates against each activity or development milestone until the project reaches 100% completion. The quarterly update module includes a final summary submission feature — once a promoter updates progress to 100%, a final summary sheet is automatically enabled with additional details. The project's Architect is required to furnish the final quarterly update confirming 100% work completion.

⚠ Penalty for Non-Compliance

Under Section 61 of the RERA Act, a promoter who contravenes provisions of the Act (other than Sections 3 or 4) may be liable to a penalty of up to 5% of the estimated cost of the real estate project. Additionally, under Section 63, if a promoter fails to comply with or contravenes any order or direction of the Authority, a penalty may be imposed for every day the default continues, cumulatively extending up to 5% of the project's estimated cost.

The circular states that all promoters must submit their QPRs by the stated deadlines, failing which the Authority will be constrained to impose penalty under Sections 61 and 63 without further notice.
